Eligibility:
- All IEEE ComSoc student members (undergraduate and postgraduate) are eligible to participate in this contest.
- Each team may consist of up to six student members, with at least 50% of the team affiliated with ComSoc.
Event Categories:
Teams can choose from the following events to commemorate International Women’s Day:
- Wall of Fame: Accelerating Action, a display honoring women in your organization who have driven progress, achieved significant career milestones, or made a lasting impact, inspiring others to take action for gender equality.
- AI & Gender Bias, an expert panel to explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can either reinforce or help eliminate gender biases.
- Women in Action: STEM Outreach, a High school and university outreach program to inspire young girls to pursue STEM careers.
- Women’s Well-being at Work, a seminar focusing on mental health, work-life balance, and parental leave policies.#
- Accelerate Equality in Media, A workshop for training on how media representation impacts gender perceptions and what can be done to improve it.
- Any event that coincides with the theme of this contest.
Selection Criteria:
- Participants can submit either a video or pictures capturing their event.
- The maximum video length is 180 seconds. All videos must be in English, or if in another language, they must include English subtitles.
- Pictures should be accompanied by a title and a brief description in English.
- The submission should showcase both imagination and creativity, balancing technical and aesthetic elements.
- Event organizing teams may use a hashtag (e.g., #WICE25) to announce and share information on social platforms. Additionally, attendees’ testimonials, including their thoughts and observations, will be taken into consideration.
Requirement:
- The event must be conducted in March, with a one-week deadline given afterward to submit the contributions.
- Each team may submit only one entry by selecting a single event category.
- Teams must provide evidence of their event, including all required documentation, or their submission will not be considered.
- Before submitting video recordings and pictures that feature event hosts and speakers, teams must ensure they have obtained consent from them.

- Participants can submit video/image files using the submission form below, ensuring all necessary details are filled in.
Awards:
Two winning teams will be selected, and each team will receive a cash prize, distributed as follows:
- 1st Place: USD $400 per team
- 2nd Place: USD $300 per team
Additionally, one team from the remaining entries will receive a consolation prize of USD $100 per team.
The funds will be transferred to one designated person from the team or to the local student branch (if the participants are part of one).
A certificate of participation will be awarded to every team that participates in this contest.
