WICE Meeting at ICC 2015
The WICE ComSoc Standing Committee annual meeting was held on June 11, 2015 from 7:00 – 9:00 AM at the Excel Conference Centre, in conjunction with the IEEE ComSoc 2015 ICC Conference, London, UK.
1. Welcome & Introduction – WICE Chair Octavia A. Dobre welcomed the members to the meeting. Attendees introduced themselves.
2. Minutes of Globecom 2014 – Minutes from the Globecom 2014 meeting were approved.
3. Report of the Chair – included information regarding social media resources, an article about WICE published in the Global Communications Newletter in April 2015, the ComSoc Student Competition Program and the WICE representative, the stage of the Child Care program at ComSoc conferences, along with future WICE actions. The presentation of the WICE Chair is available here.
3. P&Ps and Bylaws – The P&Ps for WICE were approved by the Governance Committee and are available
here.
4. Executive committee – The announcemnet of new available positions is made, along with the call for volunteers.
5. WICE Workshop on Communications and Signal Processing – The potential venues for the 2016 Workshop were discussed.
6. N2Women: Collaboration – Different ways of collaboration were discussed. Details are included in the WICE Chair
presentation.
7. Other Business – Next WICE meeting will be held during Globecom 2015 in San Diego, California.
Adjourn – The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 AM. There were 16 people in attendance.
