WICE Meeting at IEEE GC 2017 

The WICE ComSoc Standing Committee meeting was held on Dec 7, 2017 from 16:00 – 17:30 at the Marina Bay Convention Center, in conjunction with the IEEE ComSoc 2017 Globecom Conference, Singapore.

  1. Welcome & Introduction – WICE Chair Octavia A. Dobre welcomed the members to the meeting. Attendees introduced themselves.
  2. Report of the Chair – included information regarding the WICE Executive Committee (2016-2017), WICE Panels @ Globecom, ICC and WCNC 2017, Student Travel Grants @ Globecom, ICC and WCNC 2017, ComSoc Student Competition and 2017 WICE Awards. The presentation of the WICE Chair is available here.
  3. WICE Early Achievement Award – this new award was presented and approved.
  4. Other Business – We were contacted by N2Women to co-organize a workshop. Passing the Torch to the New WICE Chair, Prof. Ana Garcia Armada.
  5. Adjourn – The meeting was adjourned at 17:30.
