In this session, organized by the Women in Communications Engineering standing committee of IEEE ComSoc, we congratulated the WICE awardees of 2018 and discussed plans and ideas to increase the visibility of women in Communications engineering. In particular, we debated about the initiatives of WICE to increase the presence of women in IEEE ComSoc committees, as well as female IEEE Senior members and Fellows.
The session had the following schedule:
- Welcome and introduction by WICE Chair
- Presentation of WICE awards 2018
- WICE activities towards increasing the visibility of women in Communications engineering
- Panel discussion about “Increasing the visibility of women in Communications Engineering”.
